Set up last night with TV 102 on Gibralter mount for a quick view of the gas giants. It seemed very clear when I started, around 7:15. As I was getting organized, I noticed high clouds coming in, so hurried the pace. Just as I got it all together, a couple came walking by, and I offered a view of Saturn. They agreed and enjoyed the view at 16x using the 55mm. I switched to the 14mm Pentax for 63x and again, the view was great. The Cassini division was clear, and I could spot 4 moons with just a quick glance.

Finally used the 6mm radian for 147x, but by now the high, thin clouds prevented any great views. They were still good, but just not great. The couple did enjoy them, and we went to Jupiter and some color in the bands was visible. The moon had little detail since it was full, and the clouds made it even worse. But, it still was better than not looking at all!
